She came into my life, quiet and calm.
I remember the day I first saw her.
a friend asked me if she was at a certain event and my response was "how am I supposed to know"
a few weeks later, I saw her again, and was like "oh, THAT's her? yea she was there.. but like wait... THAT's her?"
Leaving no initial impression on me, she came into my life quiet and calm.

it wasn't until, a few months later, that I noticed her again,
this time, not so quietly and not so calm.
over the course of just a few months, maybe more than a few, a very meek and mild woman, became a storm to recon with, especially in my life.
and not up close and personal. not directly involved.
From a distance, the remnants of her life shared, shook my world.
from a distance I watched her change, evolve and grow, and as I watched her I began to change, evolve and grow. from the depths of my core I was moved.
and while, I am still watching from a distance
[Now, quite literally since She and her family moved to California],
I am so grateful for her, and to her for sharing her journey.
Her struggles and her triumphs.
Herself and her family.
and through the sea of women and influences coming at me from every direction,
From a distance I watch, as she is everything I need to see in a Woman.
A woman: in every beautiful and broken and human sense of the word.
A woman: in every beautiful and broken and human sense of the word.
from a distance, she changed me.
From a distance, I learned to love.
Thank you Miss Tanzy, For being fully, and wholly You.
