"Haste makes waste."
My mother always says this.
I fully understand what it means but for whatever reason, I don't always apply it.
Like, the other day I really really REALLY wanted cherry pie.
And as I was perusing the bakery section for a pie I decided that I wanted to bake my own.
So I bought ingredients and when I got home do you know that there were NO PIE PANS!!
my first thought was to make it in a cake pan or make mini pies in a cupcake pan but my pâtisserie senses tingled and I knew that was just not a good idea.
So I decided to wait, but three pie-less days later, my cravings did not cease.

I really really R E A L L Y wanted pie.
So I made a pie. In a cake pan.
it. Was. A freaking. Disaster.
Which made me think.
Why do I do this?
In every aspect of my life?
I some how convince myself that waiting until things are perfect means I will be waiting forever and that simply is not true.
Perfect does not mean without flaw it just means ideal.
A pie without flaw would be baked from scratch with fresh picked cherries from my back yard.
A pie that is ideal would be baked in a pie pan.
Namaste.
