Don't let them change you.

Instead of a typical blog post, i decided to do something a little different, because life has been a little different and i have been a little different.

This is as much for you as it is for me though; because life changes and we change and we all have to keep fighting to keep that balance, that peace, that center that is ourself.

so to, and to me:

This is an open letter to #Year25 Jesi Rae.

Each year since you were 19, life has whispered into your heart a lesson, and during that year Life has tested that lesson. sometimes its hard and stupid, sometimes it is fun. it is always rewarding though, watching you grow.

and on the horizon of #Year25, things are no different.

Year 24 was a crazy time. ups and downs and plateaus. so many lessons learned. 

so many self revelations realized. many good. many bad. 

and while many great things have happened,(you got your life back baby girl!) and while you have fallen deeper in love with yourself and your life, there is still that lingering need to pick out the bad a strive towards perfection. Your character still needs pruning… and as the tests come rolling in, you need to know that this will be the year in which you plant real roots and begin to holistically grown in who you are and who you want to be.

SO. . .

Life has started to throw tests your way that will determine the kind of person you will be, and the tests will only get more fierce. Life will test your kindness and your compassion. it will test your patience and your temper. It will test the deep crevices of your darkness that will feel good to tap into, you must resist the darkness. life will tap into your petty. life will tap into your manipulative

after all those years of persevering, #Year24 gave you your life back, gave you your hope back, gave you your soul back.

Do not disappoint your progress.

Your path is yours, stay the course.
